    I’m a frequent customer at Anaconda. I recently visited the Box Hill store to make a product purchase and to return a neck gaiter that was not stitched properly, resulting in piling and stretching (a quality issue). On presentation of the item with the customer service agent he agreed, there was a quality issue present, but he needed to confirm with his manager before issuing a refund. The manager was quick to inform me there is no quality issue. When I asked for him to confirm this in writing, his response was ‘I’m not going to put anything in writing’. If the manager is confident of his claim, why not confirm it in writing? Not to mention his appalling customer service, condescending and rude attitude throughout my time communicating with him at the store. His presence represents the Anaconda brand extremely poorly. This was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.

    I would give it negative star if I could and if not with the shop assistant, Allan, who tried all he could to help with my return and refund request.
    However Jack, the person responsible for warrantee, is a bully and total disgrace of this shop. He argued with me on a phone call for a reasonable refund request due to faulty product, and even demanded me to read their own return policy. What a shame on you Jack, this is not the first time you've been called out by your customer here!
    I'll never buy anything from this shop again.

    What a total disgrace!
    Well today's shcp at Box Hill Anaconda was very disappointing as I found myself a victim of false advertising.!!!
    Upon check-out I was shocked to be charged double for a product maxtrax recovery boards that was clearly listed at $249 on shelf & in stock
    I pick the items & proceeded to the checkout with other goods that I had wanted to purchase.
    On check out I was charged double for the item that I have attached (refer to photos)
    I brought to the attention of the staff & the duty manager (jack) of a product that was listed on display for the price as listed & displayed!!!!
    This is a clear situation of false advertising
    All other products in the same area were clearly marked & listed.
    As a result of this ridiculous treatment by the duty manager I will be addressing this false advertising issue with the ACCC as the manager & duty manager were extremely uncooperative & bluntly unresponsive to their false advertising issue in store!
    Extremely disappointed with Anaconda store Box Hill!
    Shame on your upper level management for allowing false advertising to be acceptable!
    I will be lodging a complaint with the ACCC as this is not acceptable!

    Anaconda box hill customs service doesn’t exist, no one greeted me at all until I paid for my stuff. Went to get some bait from the freezer but the freezer was sticky and looked like Is hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. No one to help even though lots of staff. The fishing area was so unorganised like they have no one looking after that area. Yes they have cheap Prices but what’s the point when the rods aren’t sorted in anyway.

    Warning long review because good customer service deserves to be recognised!

    Today, my wife and I visited the store with the intention of purchasing a new bike for myself. Upon arriving at the bike section, we noticed that there was no staff present. I approached the front desk and requested assistance, and that's when a helpful young man named Jack stepped forward. He was upfront about his level of expertise, admitting that he had some knowledge about bikes but wasn't the store's designated expert. Nevertheless, he assured us that he would do his utmost to assist us.

    I bombarded Jack with numerous questions about various bike models, and to my surprise, he was able to provide helpful answers. For the questions he couldn't immediately answer, he took the initiative to retrieve the information and promptly returned with the answers. After consulting with Jack, my wife and I decided on a mountain bike priced at $300.

    Subsequently, we also wanted to purchase a bike for my wife. Unfortunately, the bike she desired was out of stock, but a display model was available. Jack informed us of the store policy, which required the display bike to be approved by the bike expert before allowing us to purchase it (for safety reasons). He explained that the store's bike expert, Carey, was approximately 10-20 minutes away, and if we were willing to wait, he could inspect the display bike and authorise the sale. I found this policy to be fair and appreciated their commitment to legality and safety.

    We patiently awaited the arrival of the bike expert, and true to his word, Carey showed up. Calling him a "bike expert" would be an understatement! We revisited all the bike options, asked countless questions, and Carey even steered me towards a different display bike that might better suit my needs.

    Once again, Carey emphasised the importance of thoroughly inspecting the bikes before allowing us to take them home. I anticipated a quick check involving spinning the wheels, kicking the tyres, and then proceeding with the sale. However, that was far from the truth. Carey meticulously mounted each bike on a stand and meticulously examined every screw tension, chain tension, brake strength, and gear ratios. Throughout this process, he explained how each bike functioned and provided valuable insights on bike maintenance, things to watch out for, and how to maximise our enjoyment of the bikes.

    Encountering such old-school customer service is increasingly rare in today's world. I left the store completely amazed by the entire experience.

    Both Jack and Carey, hailing from different generations, are a testament to the exceptional standards of the Anaconda brand. I commend them both for their outstanding service and commitment to providing customers with an extraordinary shopping experience.

    If you are looking for clothes size 40 or over find another store, they can't even order larger sizes for you.
